Like every other product out in the market place, there are many different versions of the wedding signature platter or plate. Some platters are better then others. Below is a list of the three must common ways a design is applied to a platter. Use this list to help you choose the correct platter for your wedding day.

The three most common ways a design is applied to a wedding signature platter is hand painted with a kiln fired on paint, hand painted with a baked on low fire glass paint marker, and pressed on with a decal. Each method has its advantages and disadvantages.

Yes these platters can be used for any occassion. Most companies create signature platters for events like birthday parties, baby showers, bridal showers, etc.
 
If you would rather paint and create your own platter for an event try a local paint your own pottery studio. Most studios carry all the needed supplies to create a signature platter.

I always thought these platters were made alll the same. I will be sure to check when I order one as wedding gifts which kind I am getting. Thanks
