If you are not familiar with what a wedding signature platter or plate is, it is a unique twist on the idea of a traditional wedding guest book. Instead of having your guests sign a guest book, they sign a personalized hand painted platter or plate. The platter or plate is signed with a special ceramic pen. Once signed, the signature platter is baked in a home oven for 35 minutes at 300 degrees. This seals the pen ink on to the platter making the platter food safe. You have a great personalized keepsake of your wedding day.

There are some special instructions for taking care of your signature platter to help it stay looking new. The five tips below will help you keep your signature platter or plate looking like it has a showroom finish.

Remember that your wedding signature platter is a one of a kind piece. It can never be redone. If you should chip it or break it, it can not be repaired. Always play it safe and you will be able to enjoy your signature platter or plate for years to come.

Thank you for the information. We are interested in getting a signature plate but only plan on displaying ours. It is nice to know that if we want we can use it.
